RBO Build vs Wix
Wix is one of the best-known website builders: pick a template or start with its AI, then arrange everything yourself in a drag-and-drop editor. RBO Build takes a different route: you describe the business and the AI designs the whole website around it.
At a glance
How they differ.
| Wix | RBO Build | |
|---|---|---|
| How you start | A template (over 2,000) or an AI-generated start from a prompt | A description of the business and a few planning questions |
| How you edit | Drag and drop anything, anywhere | Ask the AI in plain words; change words, photos and colours yourself for free |
| Design | Based on a template you customise | Designed for the business; no templates |
| Extras | A large app market: online stores, bookings, blogs and more | Focused on small-business websites: enquiries, SEO tab, health checks |
| Making sites for clients | Wix also offers Wix Studio for agencies | Client dashboards, your branding and client payments included in every plan |
| Pricing | Plans per website, with a free plan that shows Wix branding | From A$19 a month; plans by number of websites |

When Wix is the better choice
- You enjoy designing every detail yourself with drag and drop.
- You need a full online store or one of the many apps in Wix's market.
- You want a free plan to experiment with, and don't mind Wix branding on it.
When RBO Build is the better choice
- You want a website designed for the business rather than a template, from a few sentences and some planning questions.
- You make websites for other businesses and want client dashboards, your own branding and client payments built in.
- You want small changes (words, photos, colours) to be free, and predictable pricing per website in Australian dollars.
If you like arranging a page element by element, Wix is a strong choice. If you'd rather describe the business and review a finished website, RBO Build is built for that.
Questions
Good to know.
Can I move my Wix website to RBO Build?
Wix doesn't export websites as files, so you'd start fresh: describe the business (you can reuse your texts and photos), then point your domain at the new website when you're happy with it.
Does RBO Build have an online store?
Not built in. You can link to a store or payment page, but if selling online is your main need, a builder with a full store may suit you better.
